Futsal
North West London Jets is glad to introduce Futsal training as part of the standard training curriculum to all players.
Futsal originated in South America and is a recognised format of five-a-side by both UEFA and FIFA.
Futsal is a fast paced game, traditionally played in doors. Unlike 5-a-side football, the ball is allowed to be played over head height and there is a boundary line surrounding the playing area. In comparison to the traditional 11-a-side game, when the ball is played outside of the boundary lines, a place kick is taken to restart play as opposed to a throw-on.

Benefits of Futsal
Due to the pace of the game and size of the pitch, players will develop the following:
- Ball Familiarity (comfortable with the ball under pressure through players receiving frequent touches of the ball)
- Improvisation (speed of thinking when receiving the ball in tight areas of the pitch)
- Creativity (skills to beat players or create space for a pass / shot)
- Confidence (in one-on-one situations)
- Decision making (when to pass, dribble and shoot)
- Movement (to create space / options for a pass and also rotating positions)
